According to analysts the demand for cement in Russia will boost in next two years. Russian capacities are not enough to satisfy this growing demand, although output volume in Russia increased by 12% in the 9 months of 2010 as compared with the same period of 2009. Cement consumption and imports in Russia are growing as well. In January-October 2010 cement imports from Turkey amounted around 1/3 of the total imports volume. The share of China was 13%.
The International Cement Trade Conference which was held on February 9-10, 2011 in Istanbul, Turkey, was a good platform for networking of suppliers and consumers.
