India’s Steel Prices Set To Hike Further
India’s steel mills are mulling a price rise for next year because of a combination of better economic environment and growing demand.
The price of flat steel and long product is expected to be hiked by 5-7 % next January, and will rise further if demand increases.
Buyers have started to replenish their stocks, according to a local agent. Demand in December will rise by around 7 % over November’s figure. JSW Steel also forecast that steel prices will soar higher.
