Vietnam Becomes Chinese Second Biggest Steel Export Destination
According to the latest statistic, China exported 1.34 million tons of steel products to Vietnam during January – November, 2009.
Vietnam has become the second largest importer of Chinese steel product, second to Korea, which imported 4.97 million tons.
Vietnam Steel Association (VSA) said that Vietnam’s steel imports are predicted to grow by 10~12 % in 2010 because the domestic production still cannot meet strong local demand.
Chinese flat products accounted for 70 % of the steel flat imports in Vietnam.
