Norilsk Nickel Received ISO 9001:2008 Certificates
The mining and processing plant “Norilsk Nickel” received the certificates of quality management system and environmental management ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 correspondingly. The certificates were provided according the results of the audit held in Nov. 2009 by the independent certification authority “Bureau Veritas Certification” in the Head office ( Moscow) and Zapolyarny subsidiary (Norilsk). The certificates were accredited by “United Kingdom Accreditation Service” (UKAS, UK) and “American National Accreditation Board” (ANAB, USA). The quality management system of the company was estimated according with upgraded 4th version of the ISO 9001 standard, introduced in the end of 2008. The First Deputy Director of “Norilsk Nickel”, Valeriy Matvienko noticed that the certified management system is a guarantee of the sustainable quality and safety of the products for the consumers.
