Licenses to Ukrainian Scrap Metals Companies

Ministry of industrial policy of Ukraine granted non-expiry licenses for ferrous and nonferrous metal scrap collecting and recycling to 47 companies – stated in the act of Ministry of industrial policy dated January 19, 2010.

In particular, licenses are granted to Zaporozhvtormet, Poltavavtormet, Vtortsvetmet, Dnepropetrovskvtormet, Sumyvtormet, Vinnitsavtormet, Nikolaevvtormet, Kievvtormet, Volynvtormet, Ukrvtormet.

We’d like to remind that in December 2009 the government has extended licensing export of semi-products and products of non-ferrous and alloyed metals, manufactured with use of metal scrap, till 2011.

As informed before, export of ferrous scrap from Ukraine in 2009 increased by 40.2% in comparison with previous year to 883.28 thousand tons.
