Dneprospetsstal Increased Rolled Steel Production by 40.7%

In January-February 2010 Dneprospetsstal increased rolled steel production in comparison to the related period of the previous year by 40.7% to 38000 tons. In February it produced 19000 tons of finished steel.

Crude steel production in the same period is also increased at the company – by 47.2% to 53 thousand tons (February – 26 thousand tons).

We’d like to remind that in 2009 Dneprospetsstal reduced its production in comparison with 2008: crude steel – by 46.2% to 260 thousand tons, rolled steel – by 43.1% to 161 thousand tons.

Dneprospetsstal is the only producer of alloyed steel long products and forgings of stainless, instrumental, cutting, bearing steel and of heat resistant nickel-based alloys.

Dneprospetsstal is managed now by VS Energy International Ukraine Co., which beneficiaries are several Russian businessmen.
