Rusmet.ru, Russia’s first online portal for metallurgists, was developed in 1997. Rusmet Group itself performed R&D and provided services for the industry, holding the status of an innovative subdivision of the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys (MISIS).

The task of RA Rusmet is to establish a system for rating and analysing the industry, prices and indices relating to the circulation of metals, metal products, and scrap and waste ferrous and non-ferrous metals in Russia.
