According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) in June 2019, Turkey’s total hot rolled coil (HRC) exports decreased by 35.7 percent to 173,9 metric tons, compared to May and were down 53 percent year on year.
In the first half of 2019, Turkey’s HRC exports amounted to 1.71 million metric tons, up 7.1 percent to the same period of 2018. In the first six months of this year Italy ranked first among Turkey’s HRC export destinations, with its HRC imports from Turkey amounting to 623,7 metric tons, down 7.06 percent, followed by Spain which received 299,9 metric tons of HRC from Turkey in the given period, down 21.43 percent year on year.
